Stoned Pony is part of our Lighter Daze collection. Lighter Daze dyes should always be applied to level 10, platinum blonde hair to achieve the best results.

Our semi-permanent hair dye contains naturally derived essential oils to gently fragrance the formula while strengthening and adding moisture and shine to hair

1. To create the best blank canvas for your color, we recommend that you first lighten your hair with our easy-to-use GDY Lightening Kit. Our semi-perms work best over pre-lightened hair, levels 7-10. Please refer to individual colors for the best starting level.

2. Squeeze your color into a plastic bowl. Remember: wear gloves to prevent staining on your hands.

3. Do a strand test before applying the color all over your hair to ensure you love the look.

4. Divide your hair into 4 equal sections and apply dye directly onto dry hair with a color brush or your fingers. Make sure the color is fully saturated throughout each section by applying a dollop of color for every two inch portion of your hair. Gently emulsify/massage into the hair to ensure coverage.

5. Let the color sit on your hair for at least 30 minutes.

6. Rinse with cool water.

• To maximize the vibrancy of your newly semi-permanent dyed hair, we recommend waiting at least 24 hours before your first shampoo. To minimize fading over time, rinse your hair with cool water each time you wash. Also, try reducing your hair washing days to extend the color even further.
• Stoned Pony shows up best on level 10 platinum blonde hair.
• Stoned Pony may act more as a toner, rather than a vivid semi-perm dye on hair darker than a level 9. This shade is a true lavender purple with warmer undertones.
• If your hair is yellow, Stoned Pony may turn your hair more blonde than purple. We recommend pre-lightening your hair before dyeing it.
• If you want to change up your pastel looks often, Stoned Pony is a good one to start with. Our lighter colors (Stoned Pony, Pink Puff, Peach Fuzz) tend to be easier to remove from the hair.
